Who Provides Services at Vericare? Our staff includes doctoral level psychologists, psychiatric physicians, clinical social workers, and advanced practice nurses. Each of our staff is: • Independently licensed • Authorized to practice in the state where they work • Specially trained in the understanding of mental health needs of seniors • Trained in federal and state regulations affecting long term and residential care facilities |

How do Vericare Professionals treat patients and interface with facility care staff? Following a thorough in-service to facility staff on Vericare’s referral process, the behavioral clinical professional from Vericare will: • Conduct an assessment of the referred patient to determine behavioral diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan • Utilize treatment methods including individual psychotherapy, psychotropic medication management, behavior management and rehab support behavioral services • Develop a routine weekly visit schedule which facilitates consistent patient interface and opportunities for interaction with staff • Thoroughly document clinical interactions which are placed in patient’s chart on site Vericare Regional Management Teams perform routine & on-going QA on all practitioners delivering service for Vericare |

What else do Vericare Clinical Professionals provide? Our behavioral experts are hired and trained with the intent of having them become a truly integrated member of your facility care team and your on-site mental health expert. In addition to the valuable one on one patient interactions, upon request you can expect: • Involvement in your scheduled facility behavioral meetings • Conducting periodic staff in-services on pertinent behavioral topics to expand staff’s understanding and abilities in dealing with patient’s behavioral needs • Family support or interaction where needed and directed by facility staff • Group Therapy when appropriate (Men’s/Women’s/New admissions) |

What are the costs associated with Vericare Services? In most cases, Vericare bills Medicare (Part B) or private insurance for the services provided to referred patients, so the facility has no financial obligations for the behavioral services. Occasionally when “non-covered” services are ordered for residents a direct bill arrangement to the facility can be arranged. |
